Permit Update
The Type 1 Land Use Permit has been submitted to Washington County. This permit is for formal approval of Village's Phase 1 Development Plan—as modified. A decision should be forthcoming from Washington County in 4-6 weeks.
Design Update
The Architects continue work on the interior design. Several meetings are now occurring on the platform design, childcare center and decorating schemes throughout the new Worship Center. Acoustical, A/V and Lighting are also a focus of their work.
Estimated Timeline
The project is on schedule. Work is progressing on the final design with bids going out in May and groundbreaking planned for this July.
Estimated Budget
The total estimated project budget is from $11.6 to $12.8 million. This budget includes all design, demolition, construction, permit fees, escalation, contingency and special equipment costs. To date estimated costs are within budget at $11.6 million.
Worship Center Project Overview
Ground Floor — 9,720 square feet
- 1 toddler and 2 nursery rooms with 62 person +/- capacity
- 3 multi-use classrooms with 200+/- person capacity
- Entry lobby, restrooms and elevator
Main Floor — 23,525 square feet
- Flat floor Sanctuary with 800-1000 seating capacity
- Lobby including fireplace, coffee station, & conversational seating
- 2 multi-use classrooms with 140+ person capacity
- Cry & translation rooms, A/V/Lighting booth, support, mechanical & storage rooms, restrooms and elevator
- Plaza area between existing and new sanctuary with covered walkways, garden landscaping and outside seating
Future 3rd Floor — 10,000 square feet of expansion area
- Balcony with 300+ seating capacity and
- 2 multi-use classrooms with 150+ person capacity, or
- Large meeting space, offices, etc.
