Weekly Prayer Reminder: 1-12-2009
Busy day today! So far, 21 trucks have poured over 200 yards of concrete for 11 wall panels. The foundation wall for the new entry way to the existing sanctuary is also being poured as I write. (Look at the webcam.) The rest of the week will be spent stripping the concrete forms and attaching steel braces to the walls in preparation for their tilt-up.
What's coming up? Next Monday (19th) and Tuesday (20th), 27 wall panels will be tilted-up for the new sanctuary. This seems to be a major "kid" event, so make your plans accordingly. Other dates to keep in mind are January 22nd - when steel girders start to arrive and January 26th when erection of the second floor begins. More construction laborers (about 50) and another construction trailer will also be arriving during this time so please drive slowly and park carefully as activity kicks up a couple notches!
