Weekly Prayer Reminder: 2-23-2009
So, what's going on this week?
- The staircase will be installed - connecting all 3 floors. (This staircase will be about a foot wider than the existing one leading to and from the gym.)
- Work will continue on the electrical, plumbing and heating systems on the lower level and main floor.
- Metal roof decking also will be installed.
- Rebar will be installed on the 3rd floor and weather permitting it will also be poured.
- And finally, work will continue on the small addition to the existing sanctuary.
Question of the Week: Will the new Sanctuary have more lighting than our existing one?
Yes, it will. The new sanctuary space has been designed for about 25% more lighting than exists in the current sanctuary OR about 20% more lighting than exists in the gym.
On Schedule for building completion in June and Grand Opening September 11-13, 2009; On Budget at $11.6 million.
Please pray for continued outreach to the construction workers. One laborer told me today that in 32 years of construction work that no one has treated him as well as Villagers!
