Weekly Prayer Reminders: 4-7-2008
Final construction drawings are nearing completion. As you may recall, we will be constructing 3 floors consisting of 43,695 square feet:
- Lower Level with childcare and 3 multi-use classrooms;
- Main Floor with sanctuary seating for 800-1000 persons, 2 multi-use classrooms, a big lobby with coffee/tea bar, a lounge and fireplace; and a
- 3rd Floor with over 10,000 square feet of expansion area.
- We will also be developing an outdoor Plaza with covered walkways, water features, landscaping, tables and seating.
In regards to permitting, the Demolition, Grading, Erosion Control and Environmental permits will be processed by the time the Construction Crews mobilize on site in June. The Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing permits should be available from Washington County the following month.
The flurry of activity by the Building and Landscape Architects, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Acoustical Engineers and the Audio, Video and Lighting Consultants — is very intense at the moment. All are focused on completing their work on time so we can bid out the design and determine the final building cost. So far the estimated total project cost remains within budget at $11.6 million.
Again, this week, there is much to be encouraged about, thankful for and to pray about.....
