Weekly Prayer Reminder: 6-29-2009
This week concludes the major construction activities for the new Worship Center. A lot of things will be occurring including more parking lot paving, 18 organ speakers put in place, hardwood flooring installed and carpeting of the sanctuary. Sprinklers and landscaping will also continue to be installed throughout the plaza and parking areas. Towards the end of this short work week, the General Contractor will also begin to demobilize and move out the construction trailer and storage units.
Over the rest of the summer, seating and furniture will arrive, A/V equipment will be installed, the piano and organ will be put gingerly in place and punch list items addressed. In August, the final sealant will be applied to the parking lot and line re-striping will happen again. Finally, the "field of dreams" will be re-graded; half will be left as a temporary parking lot and the other half re-seeded with grass.
We are ending this project on budget at $11,586,897.
